The goal of the University's Fire Protection & Prevention Program is to provide a fire safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors to Penn State facilities through fire prevention and fire protection systems. This is accomplished through fire prevention education, inspections, pre-operational reviews, fire hazard analysis, fire extinguisher and fire evacuation training programs and oversight of fire protection system inspection programs. Emphasis in education and implementation of programs for in-residence students and other areas is a major component.
