How Can I Replace My Mercury Thermometers?

Step by Step procedure

  1. Collect all your mercury thermometers. Be sure to look in old drawers, basement and storage areas. Please dispose of all of your mercury thermometers even if you do not need the same number of replacements.
  2. Go to our Common Questions section about the program.
  3. Go to our Lists of Available Thermometers for Replacement section and check the list of some of the thermometers available for replacement. If you require thermometers with other range of temperatures and/or for a special application please contact Kate Lumley-Sapanski Fax: 863-7427 or email: sapanski@ehs.psu.edu
  4. Go to our Exchange Request Form section and fill out all the information requested in the form. It is very important to indicate the application so we can verify the type you choose is the best selection for the application you indicate. Otherwise we will contact you to explain and show you other possible options.
  5. After you fill out the form, send it via campus or postal mail, fax, or email to:
